Management Team Experience

Neil de Guzman

Neil de Guzman is the President and CEO of Intelligent Agent Corporation. Mr. de Guzman has a BA in Economics from St. Lawrence University and an MBA from Columbia University. He has had many experiences over the past 37 years in the development of new business ventures for various industries, including the energy, photographic, paper, and health care industries. He has worked for U.S. and foreign companies to identify and exploit new markets. He established the required corporate structures, organizations and business plans for each new venture. For the energy industry, he founded Intelligent Inspections Corporation, Intelligent Robotics Corporation, and IAC to develop intelligent systems and autonomous robots for use inside producing wells. He and IAC are the holders of a number of patents related to the application of intelligent agents in producing oil and gas wells and reservoirs.  

John Burton
John Burton is the Executive Director of Intelligent Agent Corporation. He's an oil and gas executive with over 35 years of experience in the oil industry.

He has BS degrees in Geology and Chemistry and postgraduate degrees in Petroleum Geology from Imperial College, London. He has worked for Shell and Phillips Petroleum in Nigeria, Norway, U.K., and Cameroon. He now heads GeoExperts to provide key technical staff worldwide, provide industry training courses and assist companies with upstream asset evaluations. GeoExperts is headquartered in Houston with branch offices in Calgary, London and West Africa.  

Larry Lafferty
Larry Lafferty has over 20 years of experience in software development for both military and commercial applications. He holds an MS Degree in Software Engineering from the University of South Carolina. In 1999 he founded SoftPro Technologies, a software engineering company which has focused on application development for DARPA, an R&D agency within the U.S. Department of Defense (DOD). SoftPro developed CommandLink, a collaborative planning tool intended for DOD’s Special Operations.  At IAC, Mr. Lafferty leads the technical development of real-time surveillance and monitoring software applications for the oil industry.

Don Steinman
Don Steinman has over 30 years of experience in technology and business development in industrial research and development with a particular emphasis on oilfield services. Amongst his notable achievements are state-of-the-art oil well wireline logging, uranium logging, and the characterization of nuclear waste in drum storage. He holds a BS in Nuclear Engineering from Columbia University and a PhD in Nuclear Engineering from the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor. He was a Post-Doctoral Research Assistant at Oxford University, England. Amongst the positions he has held are: Technical Marketing Manager, Science Applications International; Section Manager-Thermal Decay Time Tools,  Schlumberger Well Services; President, Applied Physics and Measurement Inc.; Senior Manager-Sensor Physics, Baker Hughes Inteq; Business Development Manager, Lockheed Martin Specialty Components; and Business Development Manager, Thermo Electron.
